Our joint Ash Wednesday service will be held this Wednesday, February 22nd, at 7:00 pm at First Church.  Lenten books are available.  Lent is a special time of prayer, fasting, self-denial, and by reading and meditating on God's Holy Word.  Come to share communion with your church family.

A youth group GAME NIGHT for kids in grades 6-12 will be held in the Jenkins Education Building on Saturday, February 25, from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.  Drinks will be provided, feel free to bring a fun game, a tasty snack, and a friend!

Our adult Sunday School class will be starting the Truth Project this coming Sunday, February 26th.  Classes will begin at 9:30 am.  The classes are DVD-based and are produced by Focus on the Family.  Everyone is sure to enjoy this study!

Infant baptism will be celebrated on February 26th, for Claire Elizabeth Orange (daughter of Jeff and Crystal), during the worship service.

The youth of the Confirmation Class will be performing what they've been learning during Confirmation during the service on February 26th.  They need all of our support!

A Sunday School class for grades 6-12 will be starting on Sunday, April 15th.  Teachers are needed to volunteer to lead this class - if you're interested please contact Rev. Chuck or Sandra Balough.

A staffed nursery is now available during the morning worship service for children ages 2 through 7.  The nursery is located downstairs, below the sanctuary.  There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for adults who are willing to help out.

Rev. Chuck will be making visits to anyone desiring a visit, the homebound, hospitals, nursing homes, and he will also do home communion.  Please contact the church office at 472-7156 if you want to be visited or you know of someone in need of a visit.

An adult Sunday School class at First Church meets in the Davis Lounge every Sunday starting at 9:45 am.  This is an informal group that discusses basic life issues and how we can relate  our faith to current events.  Every young and senior adult is welcome.

Our prayer ministry meets on Tuesdays at 10:30 am in the Davis Lounge - everyone is welcome to participate in this important ministry.

There is a jar for pennies in the narthex - all pennies raised will be used to purchase another bell for the bell choir.  Please donate your pennies to help!

The Sunday School is collecting aluminum cans - please crush the cans and drop them off by the bagful at the entrance to the education building anytime.

A sign-up sheet is in the narthex for flowers and bulletins for 2012.  If you sign up for flowers for a week, it will be your responsibility to supply the flowers for that Sunday morning.  You have the freedom to make a homemade arrangement, pay a florist, etc.  If you have signed up for bulletins for a months, the cost is $36.00.
